Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications H.E. Ahmet Arslan greeted the New Year with the staff in Ankara High Speed Train Station Complex. Greeting the New Year of the staff, H.E. Arslan served baklava to the staff.
Visiting Ankara High Speed Train Station Complex in the first hours of the New Year with Undersecretary of the Ministry Mr. Suat Hayri Aka, H.E. Arslan was welcomed by Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry Mr. Orhan Birdal, Director General of TCDD Mr. İsa Apaydın, Acting Director General of TCDD Transport JSC Mr. Veysi Kurt and the staff. H.E. Arslan talked with each staff making the maintenance of the HST sets returning from commercial operation and got information from them about the works they do.
Serving baklava to railway staff and press members, H.E. Arslan stated that “it is said how you enter in the New Year, the whole year comes out like that. Thus, we are here with the workers, and we could be on the lines, construct lines and open tracks. We could do this together with the workers.
Stating that maintenance services are provided for the trains returning from operation in Ankara High Speed Train Station Complex which has not been officially opened, H.E. Arslan expressed that they would like to greet the New Year of the staff in site working on behalf of TCDD and TCDD Transport.
“WE ARE ON DUTY FOR 24 HOURS”
H.E. Arslan stated his wishes of health, welfare and peace for everyone in the New Year and underlined that they are on duty for 24 hours. He concluded his speech by expressing: “The family of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications with 250 thousand personnel is at your service in railway, highway, airway, seaway and communication and informatics fields. We will continue to be at your disposal. We are making what our job requires and we are on duty for 24 hours."
